Sister : The Life Ministry of Sr. Catherine Walsh

This documentary celebrates Sr. Catherine Walsh’s life and ministry on the occasion of her 60th Jubilee in the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine. Her ministry has taken her from Cleveland’s inner city during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, to El Salvador in the 1990s, and back to Akron, where she advocates for immigrants and provides a home for those in need at the Catholic Worker houses she co-founded.

This story focuses on Sr. Catherine, but it could be about any sister—any of the countless unsung heroes among us who quietly lead lives of devotion and service, and who choose to treat strangers like family.
