Founders’ Day Celebration

“Surely I can do this for God. I am free. No earthly tie binds me.”  These were the words spoken by Mademoiselle Louise Brulois, who would later become Sister Augustine, a founder of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine.

The Sisters of Charity would like to thank all those who helped us celebrate our Founders’ Day this past Saturday, September 24th.  On this occasion, we gave thanks for Sr. Elizabeth Schur, who celebrated her 70th Jubilee.  We also presented the Caritas Service Award to Dee Dee Chewning.  Congratulations, Sr. Elizabeth and Dee Dee!  May God bless and keep you.

We thank God for Sr. Elizabeth, Dee Dee, and for the many years of love and service of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine.
