Sr. Elizabeth Schur Celebrates her 70th Jubilee

This year, Sr. Elizabeth Schur, CSA, will celebrate 70 years in religious life.  A native of Akron, Ohio, Sr. Elizabeth first entered the community on February 2, 1946.

Some of her past ministries include four years at St. Joseph School in Cuyahoga Falls, one year at St. Luke School in Lakewood, and thirty-four years on the faculty of St. Augustine Academy in Lakewood, where she taught art.  Sr. Elizabeth also shared her talents in the Activities Department of the Regina Health Center, and as a care giver at the Holy Family Learning Center.

Sr. Elizabeth currently resides at Mt. Augustine, where some of her artwork can be found hanging in the halls outside of the Heritage Room.

We will give thanks for her jubilee on Saturday, September 24th during our annual Founders’ Day celebration for the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine.  At this time, we will also be presenting the Caritas Service Award to Dee Dee Chewning.
